A mezuzah pendant done right. The front carries the three Hebrew letters of Shaddai — shin, dalet, yod — one of the names of God and the traditional inscription on every mezuzah — rendered in vivid cobalt blue enamel against a textured yellow gold ground. The cylindrical form with rounded caps at top and bottom is the classic mezuzah shape, faithful to the doorpost case it represents. The back features a small circular window with an interior scroll, making this not just a decorative pendant but a complete miniature mezuzah in wearable form.
The construction is meticulous for the scale. The enamel is clean and unfaded. The gold has the warm depth of 14K yellow. This is a piece that means something to the person who wears it — and that combination of craftsmanship and intention is what the Judaica collector market responds to.
Condition: Estate very good. Enamel fully intact with no chips or fading. Scroll present. Natural patina consistent with age. 14K yellow gold with cobalt blue enamel. Cylindrical mezuzah with rounded caps, split ring bail. 1 inch long. 1.30 grams. Hallmarked 14K.
