Zirkus was founded in 1986 by Port Townsend, Washington artist Cris Busch Lyons, inspired by a set of circus animal stamps she discovered in her grandparents' home. What followed was a celebrated line of handcrafted sterling silver animal silhouette jewelry that became genuinely collectible. This stegosaurus is one of the more unusual subjects in the Zirkus catalog, four inches of solid sterling, the distinctive double row of back plates rendered in fluid, undulating sterling curves that catch light beautifully. The surface has a soft satin finish with the naturally oxidized silver pooling in the contours of the plates. Bold, clean, and unmistakably handmade. Signed copyright ZIRKUS on the reverse.
Condition: Estate very good. No damage, no repairs. Pin mechanism works smoothly. Natural silver patina consistent with age.
