Talleres de Los Ballesteros was established in Iguala in 1937 by Jalil Majul Ballesteros and relocated to Taxco in 1941, where the workshop grew into one of the most respected names in Mexican silver. The eagle assay mark and 925 sterling stamp on the back confirm this is genuine Taxco sterling, not plated or filled.
The piece functions both as a brooch with a working pin back and as a pendant via the large bail at the top. At 17.2 grams of sterling silver and just over 1.5 inches across, it has real presence on the body without being overwhelming.
