Shaped like a paisley, colored like a Creamsicle, and capped in 14K gold. This vintage pendant is a single freeform drop of carnelian agate that curves into a comma, glowing deep orange-red at the center and fading to amber at the edges. Fine banding shows through near the top where the stone thins, and the polished surface holds light like glass.
A tapered 14K yellow gold cap grips the top of the stone and hangs from a ribbed gold bail. At about 2 5/8 inches long with the bail, it's a true statement drop, the kind of piece that looks best alone on a simple chain against a white shirt or bare skin.
Good vintage condition, with light surface marks on the stone consistent with age. The cap is secure.
