Vintage Early 1900s Art Nouveau Gold Filled Locket Flower Face With Her Original Photo Still Inside

This locket has been holding onto someone's likeness for well over a century. Cast in warm gold tone metal in the swirling, organic style of Art Nouveau design, the front shows a face emerging from an iris in full bloom, hair caught mid movement in a wave that curls around the base like water. Open it and the original photograph is still in place, a period portrait whose subject is lost to time but whose image clearly mattered enough to survive with the piece.

At just under an inch across (pictured beside a dime for scale), this wears small and close, more keepsake than statement. The hinge and closure both work properly, and the surface carries the even patina you'd expect from a piece this old rather than heavy wear or damage.
