L'chaim, in sky blue. This chai, the Hebrew symbol for life, is cut from copper and fired in glossy pale blue enamel, with a millefiori glass cane at the top showing a red, white, and yellow flower. A thin line of bare copper frames the shape, giving it the handmade edge that studio enamel collectors look for.
It started life as one of a pair of earrings and has been converted to a pendant, hanging from a brass jump ring. Wear it on a cord, add it to a chain, or give it as a bat mitzvah, bar mitzvah, or Hanukkah gift with real vintage character.
Enamel on copper. In good vintage condition, with light wear at the copper edges and small dark flecks in the enamel typical of kiln-fired work.
