This dinosaur has attitude, mouth open, teeth bared, tail curled up behind it like it's mid stride. The body is covered in a row of stamped diamond medallions, each one dotted at the center, the kind of hand tooled Southwestern silverwork you don't often see paired with a novelty figural shape like this one. Whoever made it clearly wasn't interested in choosing between whimsy and craftsmanship.
Solid sterling silver, signed Woods and marked 925 on the reverse. At just over two inches tall, it wears as a real statement pin rather than a background accessory. The surface shows the kind of soft tarnish and light handling wear you'd expect from a well loved vintage piece, nothing that takes away from the design.
Dinosaur jewelry with this much stamped detail and an actual maker's signature is not something that turns up often. Most novelty pins skip the craftsmanship entirely.
