Two earrings, two different stones. That is not an accident. The carnelian and black onyx cabochons sitting atop these chunky U-shaped sterling drops are a deliberate design choice — warm fire on one ear, cool midnight on the other. It is the kind of detail that makes people look twice and then ask where you got them.

The U-shaped drop itself is architectural and substantial, high polish sterling with real heft at 20 grams for the pair. The TM-19 hallmark confirms Taxco origin from a registered post-1979 silversmith with surname initial M. This is not tourist market work. The design confidence alone tells you that.

Carnelian has been prized since antiquity for its warm reddish orange color and is said to bring energy and courage. Black onyx grounds and balances. Together on one pair of earrings they make a statement that is both bold and considered.

Condition: Estate excellent. Posts straight and secure, butterflies included. Both cabochons secure in bezels with no chips or damage. Natural patina on backs consistent with age.
